The CAVD offers four categories of grants to its members:
Education Travel Grants
The purpose of this grant is to offer financial support to any CAVD member in good-standing residing in Canada who wishes to attend the World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology (WCVD). This grant is only provided for travel stipends.
The purpose of this grant is to offer travel assistance to a veterinary dermatology resident, enrolled in a residency program in Canada, to attend the North American Veterinary Dermatology Forum (NAVDF) or the WCVD or any meeting considered of interest for a dermatology resident; or as travel assistance for a clinical / dermatohistopathological training; or as assistance for covering stipends related to the ACVD board examination.
The purpose of this grant is to financially support a project of scientific merit that is applicable to veterinary dermatology. This Grant is open to any CAVD member in good-standing conducting research at a Canadian institution, including members of the CAVD Executive Committee. Veterinary students are eligible.
The purpose of this grant is to offer travel assistance to a veterinary technician or technologist actively pursuing credentialing as a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Dermatology in Canada, through the Academy of Dermatology Veterinary Technicians (ADVT), to write the ADVT specialty exam and/or attend the NAVDF or WCVD.
